Refuge Chocolate is a social enterprise making high-quality, ethically sourced chocolate products. Refuge not only make delicious chocolate, they redirect their profits into the work of Flourish NI, a Belfast-based charity who support the victims of modern slavery.

This project involved a total rebrand and production of a range of packaging that had future-proofed potential to expand into new ranges and products that hadn’t even been thought of yet. The hand-drawn charcoal textures evoke a fun, playful story that hints at the fun we have with texture in food, and the diverse human story at the heart of what Refuge are all about. Every new product uses a new charcoal texture, a new colour or sometimes both. This has allowed Refuge to compete in a market sector full of eye-catching packaging and organic design.
