Brehon Brewhouse is an honest-to-goodness craft brewery on a working dairy farm in Co. Monaghan, Ireland. The farm has been in owner Séamus McMahon’s family for generations, and it quickly became clear during this rebranding process that, while the brewery was relatively new, the stories within its walls were as old as the hills.

The Brehon brand is all about celebrating those real-life stories. It’s about the yarns your granny would have told you on a Saturday morning. It’s about owning being a bit rough around the edges and having a laugh at yourself. It’s a celebration of good, honest, hands-on effort that puts the hard work in.

The brand icon features a hand-cut print of the celtic Tree of Life—an ancient symbol reflecting harmony, balance and a reminder of our closeness to the land. Every new style of beer also features a hand-cut lino print on the packaging, featuring scenes from the farm, an old McMahon family tale or something that speaks of the beautiful county where Brehon is found. It’s rustic, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it has a lot of heart—just like Séamus himself!
